The Future of Work: Could Your Industry Be Disrupted by A.I. Jobs?

The Future of Work_ Could you Industry be Disrupted by AI Jobs?

In 1997 Netflix launched a DVD-by-mail service that started to disrupt the trip to the local video store. In 2000 Netflix wanted to sell its business to the Blockbuster video store chain (who had over 9,000 stores at its peak) for $50 million. But they weren’t interested as they thought the price was too high.

In 2007 Netflix disrupted its own business model by launching a video streaming service. In 2010 Blockbuster filed for bankruptcy.  Today Netflix is the dominant video streaming company and valued at nearly $130 Billion.

Why it matters

Technology is a disrupter. What works today doesn’t mean it works tomorrow. Blockbuster couldn’t see the future.

In 2008 I saw social media creep onto our phones and consciousness. It was a slow rising evolution of online publishing and it took 5 years for Facebook  to reach 100 million users. Social media has disrupted publishing and marketing and how humans share information.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the world we live in, and its impact can be felt across various industries. ChatGPT took just 2 months to reach 100 million users. In just a few weeks everyone is talking about A.I. So, we are talking about a generational revolution not a slow burning evolution.

What can artificial intelligence do?

AI has the power to automate routine tasks, improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience and much more. Here’s what else AI can do:

  • Automate tasks: AI can be used to automate a wide range of tasks, from customer service and marketing to manufacturing and logistics. By using machine learning algorithms and other AI technologies, businesses can streamline their operations and reduce the need for human labor.
  • Improve decision-making: AI can analyze vast amounts of data and provide insights that can help humans make better decisions. For example, AI can be used to predict consumer behavior, identify fraud, or optimize supply chain logistics.
  • Personalize experiences: AI can be used to personalize experiences for individual users, based on their preferences and past behavior. This can be seen in the use of recommendation engines in e-commerce, or in the way that chatbots can interact with customers in a more personalized way.
  • Enhance creativity: AI can be used to enhance creative activities, such as art and music. For example, AI algorithms can generate new music or art that is indistinguishable from human creations.
  • Improve healthcare: AI can be used to analyze medical data and assist with diagnosis and treatment. For example, AI can be used to analyze medical images, predict patient outcomes, and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Enhance security: AI can be used to enhance security in a wide range of applications, from cyber security to physical security. For example, AI algorithms can be used to detect and prevent cyber attacks, or to monitor public spaces for potential threats.
  • Improve accessibility: AI can be used to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. For example, AI-powered voice assistants can help people with visual impairments to navigate their environment or access information.

We are only at the beginning of exploring the possibilities. As we continue to develop new technologies, they will inevitably shake up and transform the status quo. These changes will occur in ways that we could not have foreseen before, as the technologies are combined and applied in novel ways.

Who would have thought that the smartphone would lead to an app store and mobile apps that allow us to summon an Uber, do our banking or even meditate?

Which industries are likely to be disrupted the most by A.I.?

As AI technologies become more sophisticated, they are expected to transform and disrupt many industries and threaten jobs.

Healthcare Industry

The healthcare industry is one of the largest industries in the world, and it is also one of the most complex. With the use of AI, healthcare professionals can improve the speed and accuracy of diagnoses, create more personalized treatments, and optimize drug development. AI can help doctors to analyze large volumes of data, including medical records, lab results, and genomic data, to make faster and more accurate diagnoses. It can also help in identifying patterns and trends that can be used to predict disease outbreaks and develop preventive measures.

AI-powered virtual assistants are also being developed to help healthcare professionals with routine tasks, such as scheduling appointments and answering patient queries. These assistants can help healthcare providers to focus more on patients and less on administrative tasks.

Job threat:

Physical doctors will be replaced by virtual doctors that will have the latest information and better advice.

Manufacturing Industry

The manufacturing industry is another sector that is likely to be disrupted by AI. AI-powered robots and machines can help to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency. They can also reduce the risk of human error, which can lead to costly mistakes and accidents.

AI can also help to improve product quality by identifying defects in real-time and alerting workers to take corrective actions. Additionally, it can help manufacturers to optimize their supply chain and reduce waste by predicting demand and managing inventory.

Job threat:

The factory worker will not be needed to operate the machine (it will manage itself), stack shelves or pack boxes.

Transportation Industry

The transportation industry is one of the largest and most critical industries in the world. AI has the potential to transform this industry by making it more efficient and safer. Self-driving vehicles, for instance, are expected to revolutionize the transportation industry by reducing accidents and increasing efficiency. These vehicles can communicate with each other to avoid accidents and optimize routes to reduce travel time.

AI can also be used to optimize logistics and reduce transportation costs. With the use of AI, logistics companies can predict demand, optimize routes, and reduce delivery times. It can also help to reduce fuel consumption, which can have a significant impact on the environment.

Job threat:

Truck drivers are in the firing line as self driving trucks powered by A.I. take over the mundane driving task.

Financial Services Industry

The financial services industry is another sector that is expected to be disrupted by AI. AI-powered algorithms can help financial institutions to automate routine tasks, such as fraud detection, credit scoring, and customer service. It can also be used to optimize investment decisions by analyzing large volumes of data and identifying patterns and trends that can be used to predict market movements.

AI can also help to improve customer experience by providing personalized recommendations and insights based on their financial behavior. It can also help financial institutions to detect and prevent fraud in real-time, which can help to reduce financial losses.

Job threat:

Financial analysts are under the pump as artificial intelligence will do the financial analysis faster and better.

Retail Industry

The retail industry is another sector that is expected to be disrupted by AI. With the use of AI-powered algorithms, retailers can improve their supply chain and inventory management. AI can help retailers to predict demand, optimize inventory levels, and reduce waste.

AI can also be used to improve customer experience by providing personalized recommendations and insights based on the customer’s purchase history and behavior. Chatbots and virtual assistants are also being developed to help retailers with customer service and support.

Job threat:

Customer service center roles as the chatbot will give better service and more accurate information faster.

Agriculture Industry

The agriculture industry is one of the oldest and most important industries in the world. With the use of AI, farmers can improve crop yields, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization. AI-powered sensors and drones can help farmers to monitor crop health and identify issues in real-time. This can help farmers to take corrective actions before the issue becomes a larger problem.

AI can also help farmers to optimize their resource utilization by analyzing weather data, soil conditions, and other factors.

Job threat:

Operators of farm machinery that could be automated with robots that do the seeding, adding fertilizer and harvesting.

It’s not all doom and gloom

The world needs more doctors in places like Africa and other less developed countries would welcome the rise of virtual and expert medical advisory that is up to date and accurate.

Removing the drudgery of doing work that could be done by robots will allow us to be more human. It’s time to discover what that looks like.

Also, the new careers that will arise out of the revolution brought by A.I. haven’t been imagined. We are about to find out what they are.

Top Strategies to Promote Your Blog Online in 2023

Top Strategies to Promote Your Blog in 2023

Writing a blog is a fantastic way to share your thoughts, ideas, and experiences with the world. But once you’ve written your blog post, how do you get people to read it?

There are a number of ways to promote your blog online, and the best strategy will vary depending on your goals and audience. Here are some tried-and-true methods that can help you get more eyes on your content.

Pre-promotion checklist

Before we dive into the strategies, there’s one important thing you need to do first: make sure your blog is ready for promotion. This may seem like a no-brainer, but you’d be surprised how many people try to promote their blog before it’s actually ready.

Here’s a quick checklist of things you should do before promoting your blog:

Site optimization

The first thing you need to check when promoting your blog online is to make sure your site is fast, responsive, and easy to navigate. No one wants to visit a slow, clunky website. You can optimize your website by doing things like reducing your page size and using a content delivery network (CDN).

Apart from speed, you also need to check for hosting the website. If your website is down frequently, people will be turned off and less likely to visit again. You can use tools like Pingdom to check your website’s uptime.

Furthermore, you should make sure your website has been given complete security. Failure to do so will not only turn away potential visitors, but it could also put your site at risk for attacks. You can increase your site’s security by using a WordPress security plugin like Sucuri.

Additionally, you must also pay attention to crawling and indexing issues. If your website is not being indexed by search engines, it will be very difficult for people to find it. You can use Google Search Console to check if there are any indexing issues with your site.

On-page SEO

Make sure your blog posts are optimized for search engines. This means using the right keywords, tagging your images, and using internal links. Linking is extremely important to rank high on Google.

There are different types of linking strategies. You can start by adding links to your most popular blog posts from your homepage. This will help search engines understand what your website is about and index your content accordingly.

Another way to add links is by guest posting on other blogs. This is a great way to get exposure for your own blog while also helping out another blogger. Just make sure you’re only guest posting on high-quality websites that are relevant to your niche.

And finally, don’t forget to add social media buttons to your blog posts! This will make it easy for people to share your content with their followers.

Off-page SEO

Off-page SEO is all about building backlinks to your website. The more high-quality backlinks you have, the higher you’ll rank in Google. You can build backlinks by guest blogging, participating in forums, and getting included in roundups.

Quality content

This is probably the most important thing on the list. If you want people to visit and keep coming back to your blog, you need to make sure you’re publishing high-quality, original content. You need to make sure you have used proper grammar, and your content must be well researched. If you’re not a strong writer, you may want to consider hiring a freelance writer to help you create quality content.

Content optimization

Your content should be high-quality, well-written, and informative. No one wants to read outdated, poorly written articles. Make sure your content is evergreen and relevant to your niche.

You should also optimize your title tags and meta descriptions to ensure that your articles show up in search engine results pages (SERPs). This will help you attract more organic traffic to your site.

Social media

According to this report, 57.6% of the world’s population is actively using social media. This translates to more than half of the world. Hence, social media integration will go a long way when you are promoting your blog.

Social media is a powerful tool that can help you reach a wider audience. Be sure to share your content on all of the major social networks, and don’t forget to use hashtags and other relevant keywords. You should also consider running social media ads.

Some of the most popular social media platforms are:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Instagram
  • Pinterest
  • LinkedIn
  • Snapchat
  • YouTube

Make sure your blog is integrated with social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. You can also include social media buttons on each of your blog posts and encourage people to share your content. You can also create social media-specific content, like infographics and videos, to drive even more traffic to your site.

Planning and researching your content

You can’t just write any old thing and expect people to read it. Your content must be well-researched, well-written, and relevant to your target audience. You should also have a content promotion plan in place before you start writing. This will help ensure that your content is promoting your blog effectively.

Not all blog posts are created equal. In order to get the most traffic and engagement, you need to choose topics that are relevant to your niche and audience. You should also make sure you’re writing about something that people actually want to read.

The best way to come up with ideas for blog posts is to use keyword research tools like Google AdWords, Keyword Planner, and KWFinder. These tools will help you find keywords that people are searching for in Google. Once you have a list of keywords, you can start brainstorming ideas for blog posts that would be relevant to those keywords.

You should also consider using Google Trends to see what topics are currently trending. People are more likely to search for and read articles about topics that are currently trending.

Researching your audience

Before you start writing, you need to know who your target audience is. What are their interests? What problems do they need to solve? Once you have a good understanding of your audience, you can start creating content that appeals to them.

You can use Google Analytics to get an idea of who’s reading your blog. You can also use social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook to see what people are saying about your blog.

Creating a content calendar

Once you have a good understanding of your audience and you’ve brainstormed some ideas for blog posts, it’s time to create a content calendar. This will help you keep track of what you’re going to write about and when you’re going to publish it.

When creating your content calendar, you should consider the following:

  • The topics you’re going to write about
  • The keywords you’re going to target
  • The social media platforms you’re going to promote your content on
  • When you’re going to publish your articles

Your content calendar doesn’t have to be complicated. A simple Excel spreadsheet will suffice. Just make sure you update it regularly so that you always know what’s coming up next.

Publishing consistently

If you want people to keep coming back to your blog, you need to be publishing new content on a regular basis. That doesn’t mean you need to be publishing multiple articles every day. But you should aim to publish at least one article per week. This will give people something to look forward to and ensure that your blog stays up-to-date.

Creating compelling graphics

If you want people to share your content, you need to make it visually appealing. Be sure to include compelling graphics, infographics, and videos in your posts. These will help make your content more engaging and more likely to be shared.

Set up Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a free tool that allows you to track who’s visiting your site and how they found you. Almost 86% of all websites use this tool to track website traffic.

Google Analytics can provide invaluable information that can help you fine-tune your promotion strategy. If you don’t have Google Analytics set up on your site yet, now’s the time to do it.

Optimizing your content for search engines

If you want people to find your content, you need to make sure it’s optimized for search engines. This means using the right keywords, including meta descriptions and alt tags, and making sure your site is easy to crawl.

Now that you’ve checked everything off the list, you’re ready to start promoting your blog! Let’s take a look at some of the best ways to do it.

Blog promotion strategies

Blog Promotion Strategies

Now that your blog is prepped and ready, it’s time to start promoting it! Here are some of the best ways to get the word out:

Email marketing

Email marketing is still one of the best ways of promoting your blog. If you have a list of subscribers, be sure to let them know whenever you publish a new post. You can also reach out to other bloggers in your niche and ask them to share your content with their readers.

The benefit of email marketing over other forms is that you have a direct line to your readers. You can control the message and the call to action, and you know that your subscribers will see it.

Paid Advertising

If you want to reach an even wider audience, you can always resort to paid advertising. Google AdWords and Facebook Ads are two of the most popular options. Just be sure to target your ads carefully so you don’t waste money on clicks that don’t convert.

Guest blogging

Guest blogging is a great way to get your content in front of a new audience. Reach out to other bloggers in your niche and see if they’re interested in featuring one of your posts on their site. Just be sure to only guest blog on high-quality sites that are relevant to your niche.

Influencer marketing

Influencer marketing is another great way for promoting your blog content. Find influencers in your niche with a large following and see if they’ll share your content with their fans. You can also collaborate with them on sponsored posts or social media campaigns.

There are several ways that influencer marketing can help promote your blog. Influencers have a large following of engaged fans. By collaborating with them, you can reach a much wider audience, increase brand awareness, and make people more familiar with your blog.

If an influencer shares one of your blog posts, it can generate a significant amount of traffic back to your site. Moreover, getting links from high-quality websites can help improve your website’s SEO. And since influencers often have large followings, their links carry a lot of weight.

The results can indeed surprise you.

Content leverage

Once you’ve created some great content, don’t just let it sit there. Repurpose it into other formats like infographics, videos, or eBooks and share it on other channels. This will help you get the most out of your content and reach a wider audience.

Analyzing the results

Once you’ve been promoting your blog for a while, it’s important to take a step back and analyze the results. Which strategies are working best? Which ones are driving the most traffic and generating the most leads? Keep track of your progress over time and adjust your strategy accordingly.

Website analytics

There are several different ways to track your website’s traffic and performance after promoting your blog. Google Analytics is a free tool that provides detailed insights into who’s visiting your site and how they found you. Another option is to use a heat mapping tool like Crazy Egg to see where people are clicking on your site. This can help you identify areas for improvement.

Lead tracking

In addition to tracking website traffic, it’s also important to track the leads that come from your blog. This way, you can see which strategies are generating the most interest and conversions. There are a number of different lead tracking tools available, such as LeadPages and HubSpot.

A/B testing

A/B testing is another great way to optimize your blog for conversion. This involves creating two different versions of your blog post and seeing which one performs better. You can test different headlines, images, calls to action, or any other elements of your blog post.

Social media monitoring

Finally, don’t forget to keep an eye on your social media accounts. This will help you see how people are reacting to your content and what they’re saying about it. There are a number of different social media monitoring tools available, such as Hootsuite and Sprout Social.

Things you need to avoid when promoting your blog

Things You Need to Avoid When Promoting Your Blog

Now that you know some of the best ways to promote your blog, let’s take a look at some of the things you need to avoid.

Spamming

When promoting your blog, it’s important to avoid spamming people. This means don’t post the same message over and over again or send unsolicited messages to people’s inboxes. If you do, you’ll just end up annoying people and harming your reputation.

Buying followers

Another thing to avoid is buying followers. This might seem like an easy way to get more people to see your content, but it won’t do you any good if those followers are not interested in what you have to say. Plus, most social media platforms can tell when you’ve bought followers and will penalize you for it.

Instead, what you should do is focus on building a genuine following of people who are interested in what you have to say. This will take more time and effort, but it’s worth it in the long run.

Posting irrelevant content

Finally, don’t post irrelevant content just for the sake of getting more traffic. This will only turn people off and make them less likely to come back to your site. Instead, focus on creating high-quality content that is relevant to your niche.

If you follow these tips, you’ll be well on your way to promoting your blog effectively in 2023. Just remember to focus on quality over quantity and always put your audience first.

Posting too much

Another mistake to avoid is posting too much. If you’re constantly bombarding people with content, they’re going to get sick of it and tune you out. Find a good balance between promoting your blog and other content so that people don’t get overwhelmed.

Often people think that they need to post multiple times a day, but this isn’t always the case. It’s more important to focus on quality over quantity. Post when you have something interesting to say instead of just posting for the sake of it.

Not diversifying your traffic sources

You have surely heard the old adage “don’t put all your eggs in one basket”. This is especially true when it comes to website traffic. This means don’t just rely on one or two sources of traffic. If you do, you’re putting yourself at risk if those sources dry up.

Instead, diversify your traffic by using a variety of different methods to promote your blog. This way, even if one method stops working, you’ll still have others that are bringing people to your site.

Not tracking results

You need to make sure you’re tracking the results of your efforts. This way, you can see what’s working and what’s not. Otherwise, you’ll just be wasting time and money on strategies that aren’t giving you any results.

Keyword stuffing

One black hat technique you should avoid is keyword stuffing. This is when you stuff your content with so many keywords that it becomes difficult to read. Not only will this turn people off, but it will also get you penalized by search engines.

Conclusion

There are a lot of different ways to promote your blog. Try out a few of these strategies and see what works best for you and don’t forget to track your results so you can see what’s working and what’s not. With a little effort, you should be able to get more traffic and engagement for your blog in no time.

Escape the 9-5 Grind: 5 Big Benefits of a Side Hustle that Pays Well

Escape the 9-5 Grind: 5 Benefits of a Side Hustle that Pays Well

Last year over 5 million new businesses were started. That was a record breaking number in the post-pandemic era.

Why it matters

This means that many people desire to have control over their life and income by breaking away from the typical 9-5 grind. And one of the best ways to do this is by starting an online side hustle, which allows you to start small with little risk and potentially grow it into something big.

In the past, a side hustle typically referred to a part-time job that people would take on after their regular 9-5 workday. This was often because their employer didn’t pay them enough to cover their rent or mortgage, so they needed extra income.

These part-time jobs might have included cleaning offices, working at McDonald’s, or offering babysitting services so that mummy and daddy could go out and party.

This approach of trading time for money is becoming archaic. You can either accept this old way of doing things or choose to take a different path.

The new age

The rise of the internet and the digital age has brought about many new opportunities for people to make money from the comfort of their own homes. One such opportunity is having an online side hustle.

An online side hustle refers to a source of income that is generated through the internet, in addition to your main source of income.

The fringe benefits

So…what are the non-financial benefits of having an online side hustle that pays well?

There are a few:

  • Increased self-esteem: Having a side hustle can increase your sense of self-worth and self-esteem. This is because you are taking control of your financial future and contributing to your household income.
  • Improved work-life balance: A side hustle can provide a much-needed break from your primary job. It can also give you the flexibility to set your own schedule and work around your other commitments.
  • Opportunities for personal growth: A side hustle can provide opportunities for personal growth and learning. You may be able to develop new skills, network with other entrepreneurs, and meet new people.
  • And more…

The top 5 benefits of having a side hustle that pays well

I was a teacher who traded time for money. I  was trapped and limited. Then I started an online side hustle.

What were the benefits of this new approach?

#1. Flexibility

I sit on the terrace overlooking the lake. The laptop is in front of me and the coffee is at hand. Lake Como’s mountains invite an adventure that afternoon. The question is do I go for a walk or rent an e-bike to explore the mountain vistas?

A side hustle that pays well allows you to work from anywhere, at any time. This is especially beneficial for those who have a busy schedule and cannot commit to a traditional 9-5 job. With an online side hustle, you have the ability to work on your own terms, whether that’s during the early hours of the morning or late at night.

This gives you the freedom to pursue your passion and make extra income while still being able to attend to your other commitments.

#2. Passive income

I started my first career as a school teacher. I got paid for showing up. I was earning an hourly wage. It didn’t matter whether I was good (or great) at my job or just average. I still earnt the same amount of money. It’s called trading time for money.

A side hustle that pays well can change the game.

Passive income refers to income that is generated without actively working for it. Many online side hustles can be set up to generate passive income, such as affiliate marketing, dropshipping, or creating an online course.

This means that once you have set up your online side hustle, you can potentially sit back and watch the money come in, giving you more time to focus on other things in your life.

It may take a bit of time to set up and grow but if you are prepared to play the long game then it provides a path that goes beyond an hourly wage.

#3. Pursue your passion

Pursuing your passion  is a cliche that is often quoted but poorly explained. A passion doesn’t mean making money from a love of eating, watching Netflix, or gaming. Otherwise you’d be paid for being  overweight and having high cholesterol.

The better question is how can I do what I love while making a difference, and getting paid for what the world wants.

Many people find that their day job does not align with their passions and interests, and this can lead to feeling unfulfilled and unmotivated. With an online side hustle, you have the opportunity to pursue your passion and make money at the same time.

If you are passionate about cooking, writing, photography, or any other hobby, you can turn that passion into a successful online side hustle.

#4. The low cost of starting

A traditional business often needs an office or a warehouse. And that means an expensive multi-year lease, permanent employees and all the office resources. That is a 6 figure investment.

However, with an online side hustle, you can start for as little as $10 or $20. I started my media company for $14. The cost of my domain name. The WordPress platform was free and then it was up to me.

An online side hustle makes starting a business an accessible option for anyone who is looking to supplement their income, regardless of their financial situation.

#5. The potential to scale

Markets. They are small or large. If you made cheese and you went to your local market then the locals loved you. Maybe 20 loyal fans bought a slice or two and that was it. You then maybe opened a store at the mall. Higher rent but we are now up to 200 customers. More customers but higher costs.

The Internet market village of billions? Well that is a different story.

No geography

Unlike traditional businesses, online side hustles have the potential to reach a global audience. This means that the earning potential is much higher.

There are no geographical limitations.

If you have a successful online side hustle, you can easily scale it up and reach a larger audience, increasing your income potential.

So do you want to play local or global?

The Art of SEO Copywriting: The No-Fail Secret to Creating Epic SEO-Friendly Content

The Art of SEO Copywriting -The No-Fail Secret to Creating Epic SEO-Friendly Content

Digital content optimization is a topic of ongoing discussion. Online marketing experts and content creators alike have their own views on the matter.

Some say that the secret to good ranking lies in SEO’s technical side. Others veer towards creative, meaningful SEO copywriting based on their past experiences.

Studies have shown that 61% of marketers agree that SEO does prove beneficial in organic growth hacking and content marketing in general.

Jodi Wright, Trust My Paper senior copy editor, however, had this to say on the matter: “I do my best to combine both SEO and well-written content into my writing. I never trust one single method to carry my content forward. Just like the search engines themselves, we too need to evolve and adapt to popular trends.”

The art of SEO copywriting goes much deeper than meets the eye. Creating truly epic content which is SEO-friendly isn’t an easy task – and we are here to seek those answers today. Let’s take a look at what makes SEO tick, why copywriting matters and how you can make the most out of this digital phenomenon.

SEO copywriting 101

In order for us to unlock the secret to effective SEO in copywriting, we need to talk about these words in greater detail. Copywriting represents the literal process of content creation in digital marketing. Writers, content creators and other creatives do their utmost to create content that is attractive, original and relevant to their audience.

Copywriting is a very popular freelance niche since it allows individuals to work from home and earn a nice living. However, not everyone is an effective copywriter and trouble often rears its head – which is why SEO plays a large part in amending for that shortcoming later on.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) represents a pivotal part of digital marketing. For years, this technology has enabled content marketers to boost their site’s rankings with search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Bing, and others. SEO works in many ways, most importantly as a means of technical optimization (hence the title). Content typically receives SEO at the end of the content creation cycle and just before it becomes published.

SEO in 2018

The two terms often go hand in hand. Copywriters are often required to SEO optimize their work due to publishing to online platforms. Company blogs, e-commerce storefronts and other websites use this fact to rank their sites higher than the competition.

As a result, this makes copywriting and SEO very lucrative callings.

Now that we have a clearer understanding of what copywriting and SEO really mean, let’s take a look at the benefits of using them before we talk about the big secret behind all of it.

Benefits of SEO in copywriting

As you can see, SEO without copywriting simply doesn’t work. The “hook” of content marketing is the content itself. Without it, people have very little reason to click on your link and boost your traffic.

Let’s take a look at several, highly beneficial reasons to implement SEO in your site’s copywriting efforts:

Low cost and high ROI

Return on Investment (ROI) always plays a huge role in digital marketing. Site owners are simply not prepared to spend four-figure sums on content marketing even if someone reassures them of the results.

However, SEO is very cheap and easy to implement. Tools such as Google Adwords and SEMrush can boost your site’s performance within a few short days of optimization. The low, low cost of SEO is minuscule compared to a paid advertisement; search engine boosted marketing and other forms of exposure.

Increase in traffic and conversion rates

Most site administrators would agree that traffic and conversion rates play a huge role in their content marketing. After all, the point of owning a website is to have people come and see what you have to say.

To that end, SEO can help you attract a much larger audience and convert them into your regular customers or followers. Exposure is the key word here since your site will rank much higher than before due to proper SEO copywriting.

Brand authority and loyalty

Chances are that your business is only one of several in the same niche. This unfortunate fact doesn’t have to discourage you, however. Adequate SEO and copywriting can help you rank higher than any other website in your niche if done correctly.

Brand authority plays a huge part in the way people see your site online. Trust and respect are very hard to earn, especially in the online world of fast information sharing and low attention spans. By introducing SEO into your copywriting, you will effectively show up in many more search result pages (SERPs) than you would otherwise.

A permanent presence

Lastly, copywriting and SEO will always remind your competition and customers that you are present. SEO can place a permanent mark on your content and ensure that your brand has a very long lifespan. This is a great opportunity to create a lasting marketing impression without recurring costs (which adds to the already-great ROI).

With numerous benefits and an obvious addition to your content marketing arsenal, SEO represents a logical step forward for any aspiring business. I may have given up some hints as to what the no-fail secret of SEO might be before. However, it’s time to pull the curtains back and talk about the thing that most people fail to implement in SEO.

The secret is in the keyword

The element that keeps SEO and copywriting together and helps so many businesses and content creators isn’t as elusive as it seems. One word is enough to define the secret of creating epic content with an SEO-friendly tone – keywords.

Studies have shown that keyword optimization can boost a company’s ranking up to 1.5 times the norm. Keyword optimization is more important than it seems at first glance.

  • It helps people find content relevant to their search engine queries.
  • It effectively helps sites such as Google rank content higher or lower compared to others in the same niche.
  • Keyword optimization allows content managers to avoid registering as “spam”; thus eliminating the risk of ranking low.
  • Most importantly, keywords make or break trends in certain niches, allowing vigilant copywriters to always be in touch with what is popular to write about.

Keywords are often monitored and optimized through specialized software or online platforms. One such example is Google’s own Keyword Planner, a tool built from the ground-up with copywriting in mind. Subsequent SEO is possible but it is far more effective if implemented at the beginning of the content creation cycle.

Google Keyword Planner for SEO copywriting

This allows copywriters to create content based on the keywords themselves. They, in turn, find their place in titles, subheadings and important Metadata information of each created content piece.

If you create content with keywords in mind from the get-go, there is no limit to the ranking you can acquire in time. Site-wide keyword and SEO optimization of your copywriting will benefit your site significantly if you let it. However, you can easily break the SEO by misunderstanding the keywords you discover, so let’s take a look at some no-go mistakes to keep in mind.

SEO mistakes to avoid in copywriting

One keyword only – Keywords often come in plural. There is no point in optimizing your content if you rely on a single word to carry your website. Instead, opt for several keywords which will show up throughout your copywriting. They will ensure that people of different mindsets find your content more easily.

Neglecting other SEO methods – Keyword optimization is the most important and well-kept secret of the trade. However, it is far from the only one you should consider. Multimedia content you post should pass optimization for fast load times and low server sizes. Formatting and tagging your content can effectively boost your SEO ranking even higher if you let it. These are only some of the other SEO methods you should try coupled with keyword optimization.

Quantity over quality – Spamming your site with irrelevant, keyword-stuffed content won’t do you any good. Search engines have evolved to a point where algorithms are able to detect shady content from far away. This means that you will bury your site under other websites willingly without even putting up an SEO fight. Focus on high-quality content and sprinkle it with keyword optimization of your copywriting for good measure.

A more practical example

While we have covered what keywords are and what they can do for your website, there’s no better way to bookend the discussion than through a practical example. Let’s assume that you are running a (general) design website of your own. You want to attract more traffic in order to generate ad revenue and get on SEO’s good side. However, with the numerous different design niches you cover on your site, the task isn’t easy.

A simple solution and a good start to your SEO copywriting activity is to fire up Google Adwords and Keyword Planner.

This tool is rudimentary compared to more sophisticated choices such as SEMrush. However, it is perfectly capable of helping you optimize your keyword research and density within each page. Searching for keywords related to “design”, brings us to a number of potential hits.

A more practical example for Google Ads Keyword Planner for SEO Copywriting

Keyword Ideas

Based on your site’s niche, you should opt for several keywords which you will integrate into your content. That way, search engines will get a “ping” back from your website whenever someone searches for that particular keyword. If done correctly, your website should rank within the first search results and bring you much-needed exposure. Once users begin pouring in and clicking on your links, you will get the results based on the forecast generated from your selected keywords.

Forecast generated from your selected Keywords

This is a basic example of how keywords work in the context of SEO and copywriting in the digital space. More complex strategies go further than that, however. In time, you will need to pay attention to things such as multimedia content optimization and site speed. For now, the key to understanding SEO and copywriting as a whole lies solely in keyword research.

Call them to action

It’s easy to see the importance of keywords in SEO and copywriting – as anticlimactic as it may seem at first glance. Couple your writing with effective calls to action which will ensure that your audience “acts” on the information they just acquired. If done correctly, this combination of copywriting techniques will be enough to convince people to convert no matter the niche you operate in.

AI Writing: How ChatGPT Can Help You Write Faster and Better

AI Writing: How ChatGPT Can Help You Write Faster and Better

Change is scary. And we are in the middle of a pandemic of change.

What is the pace of change?

How fast are humans changing and innovating?

Here is some data from Wikipedia on the rate of change during human history and what the future maybe holds.

Dramatic changes in the rate of economic growth have occurred in the past because of technological advancement.

  • Based on population growth, the economy doubled every 250,000 years from the Paleolithic era until the Neolithic Revolution.
  • The new agricultural economy doubled every 900 years
  • In the current era, beginning with the Industrial Revolution, the world’s economic output doubled every fifteen years, sixty times faster than during the agricultural era.
  • If the rise of superhuman intelligence causes a similar revolution, then one would expect the economy to double at least quarterly and possibly on a weekly basis”.

That last sentence is a bold prediction!

Our “scared” default mode

To be afraid of disruption and change is our default human programming.

It’s scary because we don’t know what tomorrow will look like. The Luddites were so worried by change and the threats to their jobs that they rioted and England devoted a lot of their army to quelling the uprising.

For those who don’t know, the Luddites were a group of 19th-century English textile workers who protested against the increasing use of machinery in the textile industry. The group was named after the mythical figure of King Ludd, who was said to have led a rebellion against the use of machines in England.

The Luddites saw the increasing use of machinery as a threat to their jobs, as well as to the quality and craftsmanship of the products they produced. They believed that the use of machines would lead to the degradation of traditional skills and the displacement of workers.

Innovation can lead to desperation

People are often afraid of innovation and change because it represents a disruption to their established ways of doing things. This can be especially true when the change involves the introduction of new technology or automation.

People may worry that their skills and jobs will become obsolete, or that the new technology will produce lower-quality products or services.

In the case of the Luddites, their fears were not unfounded. The increased use of machinery did indeed lead to the displacement of many textile workers, who found themselves unable to compete with the faster and cheaper production offered by the new machines. But the long-term benefits were many more jobs and higher economic growth.

Extinction?

The new digital Luddites are starting to get angry and tweeting that the sky is falling and the end of the world is nigh due to A.I.

And that includes luminaries such as Stephen Hawking, “The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race…It would take off on its own, and re-design itself at an ever-increasing rate. Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, couldn’t compete, and would be superseded.”

Or…positive evolution?

However, it’s important to note that innovation and change can also bring about many positive benefits, such as increased efficiency and productivity, higher-quality products, and new opportunities for employment and growth.

In the long run, the rise of the textile industry and the introduction of machinery led to significant economic growth and improved living standards for many people. The same can be seen in other industries as well, where technological advancements have brought about new products, services, and employment opportunities.

While change can be unsettling, it is an inevitable part of progress and growth. Rather than being afraid of innovation and change, it’s important to embrace it and find ways to adapt and thrive in the face of these challenges. By doing so, we can continue to drive progress and create a better future for ourselves and future generations.

How to use ChatGPT to increase speed, creativity and productivity as a writer

As a content writer, it’s important to be productive and efficient in order to meet tight deadlines and produce high-quality work. And writing is one of the easiest online side hustles to start with almost no money down.

ChatGPT, a cutting-edge language model developed by OpenAI, can be a valuable tool in helping content writers achieve these goals.

Here are some ways that ChatGPT can help you write faster and be more productive with your writing:

  1. Research Assistance: ChatGPT can help you quickly research information and provide you with the relevant details you need to write your content. Simply type in your questions, and ChatGPT will provide you with the answers. This can save you time and effort, and allow you to focus on writing the content itself.
  2. Content Creation: ChatGPT can also assist you with writing content by providing suggestions and ideas for your articles and blog posts. Simply provide a few key phrases or topics, and ChatGPT will generate a list of ideas that you can use as a starting point for your writing.
  3. Proofreading and Editing: ChatGPT can also help you with proofreading and editing your content. Simply type in your content, and ChatGPT will provide suggestions for correcting any errors or improving the overall quality of your writing. This can help you write faster and more efficiently, as you won’t have to spend as much time reviewing and editing your work.
  4. Generating Titles and Headlines: ChatGPT can also assist you with generating catchy and attention-grabbing titles and headlines for your content. Simply provide a few keywords or phrases related to your topic, and ChatGPT will generate a list of potential titles and headlines for you to choose from.
  5. Generating Summaries: If you are working on a long piece of content, ChatGPT can help you generate a summary of the main points. This can be particularly useful if you need to provide an overview of a complex article or report. ChatGPT can also help you condense long passages of text into concise and easy-to-understand summaries.
  6. Brainstorming: ChatGPT can also be used as a tool for brainstorming new ideas and concepts. If you’re feeling stuck, simply type in a few keywords related to your topic, and ChatGPT will generate a list of potential ideas and angles to explore.
  7. Creating Outlines: ChatGPT can also assist you with creating outlines for your content. Simply type in a few keywords or phrases related to your topic, and ChatGPT will generate a list of potential sections and sub-topics for you to include in your outline. This can help you organize your thoughts and structure your content in a logical and effective way.

Ignore it or lean in?

In order to make the most of ChatGPT’s capabilities, it’s important to use it as a tool to support your writing process, rather than relying on it as a complete crutch.

ChatGPT is designed to generate suggestions and ideas, but the final product should always be your own original writing. Tools like ChatGPT will also help you with ideation and creativity.

Additionally, it’s important to double-check the accuracy of any information provided by ChatGPT, as language models like ChatGPT are not perfect and can sometimes provide incorrect or outdated information.

Using ChatGPT as a writing tool can help you write faster and more efficiently, but it’s important to remember that the quality of your writing still ultimately depends on your own skills and experience as a writer.

ChatGPT is simply a tool to help you streamline your process and enhance your productivity. It is a valuable for content writers who are looking to increase their productivity and efficiency.

How to Generate High-Converting Copy With AI Copywriting Software

How to Generate High-Converting Copy With AI Copywriting Software

Despite what many people tell you, copywriting is more of a science than it is an art.

Expert copywriters use a formula to compile a set of words in the most compelling structure possible to persuade action.

This formula has been learned and adapted over decades of testing and adjusting copy based on consumer behavior.

For the average marketer, who is expected to write high-converting copy every day, it can be a steep learning curve with a lot of guesswork and ambiguity into what works.

Yes, you can run split tests for your landing pages, ads, emails, and other marketing collateral. But how much time, money, and frustration goes into that process? What’s the opportunity cost of that effort?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology combined with natural language processing takes the guesswork out of writing high-converting copy and makes your job as a marketer a whole lot easier.

Let’s unpack what AI copywriting software is all about to see if it’s exactly what you need to take your marketing to the next level.

Looking for top-of-the-line AI copywriting software? Get started with Anyword today.

What is AI copywriting software?

AI copywriting software is sophisticated technology that generates text based on automated analysis of computer and human-generated inputs.

In recent times, this technology has come a long way. In its infancy, AI-generated text would look and sound different to copy created by a human. But with advances in programming for natural language and high-performing copy scoring algorithms, AI copywriting software can now produce content that looks, sounds, and feels like it was written by a human.

How does AI copywriting software work?

AI copywriting software uses machine learning and natural language processing models trained by millions of successful social media posts, ads, emails, and other marketing collateral.

For example, with Anyword, all you need to do is add a URL from your website, such as a product or sales page, select the type of copy you need, and the AI software will generate original content optimized for performance.

Here’s a video of how it works:

For example, here’s how Anyword updated a headline from a project on Product Hunt:

Old text: Asynchronous video communication for remote teams

New text: The new and improved way to have a conversation remotely

Yes, a computer generated that second headline! Quite amazing.

What copy can AI software create?

Most AI tools used for writing copy generate short-form content. They’re not spitting out whole blog posts, books, or whitepapers. Instead, you can expect to generate copy for ads, email subject lines, product descriptions, and other short marketing copy that you are regularly testing for optimization purposes.

The reason AI copywriting software, such as Anyword, focuses on short-form copy is that it’s less likely to go off-topic than long-form copy. There are fewer variables, and by analyzing millions of similar inputs a truly optimized formula for successful copy can be determined.

Despite being short, it’s also the copy that can take the longest to write because it has the biggest impact on a customer. Headlines and subject lines are the first impression someone has of your message, so you need to make it a winner.

What are the benefits of using AI copywriting software?

I’ve insinuated numerous benefits of AI copywriting software already, and I’m sure you have other ideas floating around in your head. But here’s a summary of the key benefits of this technological advancement for marketers:

  • Variations at scale. It enables you to create multiple text versions in bulk which is perfect for running multiple split tests.
  • Text improvements and performance optimization. You can use AI copywriting software to improve the text and find the most effective wording with a predictive performance score. For example, I used Anyword to analyze the headline of my digital marketing tools page. You can see that the headline was scored at 82 out of 100. When I hovered over the score it also gave me a breakdown of the predicted engagement by age and gender. Pretty cool!
Anyword

Let’s see what happens when I toggle the “Improve with AI” button on.

Improve-With-AI

You can choose how you want the text to be generated based on a set of criteria. In this example, I’m happy for the text to be altered by choosing “Relaxed”, I want to incorporate the keywords “Digital Marketing Tools”, and I’m targeting both Males and Females aged over 35.

Here’s what Anyword came up with:

Improve-With-AI-2

Now I have three headline variations for this page that are statistically proven to perform with a set demographic. In my case, the score of the page was pretty good in the first place, so there are only marginal improvements to make. But this information would be excellent to use for email or ad headline split tests.

  • Keyword optimization. Including keyword phrases in your text is super-easy with AI software because it does the heavy lifting for you, just like in the example provided above.
  • Cost reduction. Using software to write marketing copy is significantly cheaper than hiring expert writers to produce the same number of optimized text variations. For example, Anyword starts at just $19 a month for up to 15,000 words of copy.
  • Time-saving. As well as cost savings, the software produces copy almost instantly, much faster than a human can!

As you can see, there are several reasons to give AI copywriting software a go. It’s especially powerful if you run large-scale ad campaigns that require lots of copy variations for testing.

Wrapping up

It may sound daunting to have a software tool write your marketing copy for you.

Many copywriters feel threatened by this new technology and instead choose to stick to old processes.

In reality, AI copywriting software isn’t here to take your job. It’s here to make it easier.

Instead of writing 20 headline variations, why not write one and let the software crank out the rest?

Of course, you can still tweak the copy afterwards, but the time and effort you will save is astronomical. It’s also a great way to break away from old habits and copywriting repetition. Not to mention the performance improvements you’ll see by accessing the insights of millions of high-performing examples.

Are you ready to take the next step? You’ll gain a competitive advantage and won’t look back.

Get started with Anyword today.
